Linear Heat Detection

PROLINE PROTECTION SYSTEMS LTD (Proline), is an FM approved and UL listed combined detector and cable which monitors temperature changes at ANY and ALL points along its length and can be installed at the "point of risk" to detect pre-combustion overheat conditions without reliance on any favourable airflows.

80% of Industrial fires are the result of undetected overheats which progress to combustion. A Proline "point of risk" installation provides a fire PREVENTION capability on many applications.

For "area" protection, the sensor cable can also be installed at ceiling or roof height with a maximum 10.6 metres (35 feet) spacing between runs -as tested and listed by U.L. The mechanical flexibility of the sensor allows horizontal ceiling installations to incorporate vertical runs at wall or roof support pillars in order to bring the detector closer to the potential source of an overheat/fire condition and in doing so further improve operating sensitivity ( shorter response times should an alarm condition occur).

FLADET IH-153E Infra-Red Ember Detector

The IP67 rated model IH-153E Ember Detector employs Infra-red sensitive photoelectric sensors for the detection of glowing embers on applications such as COAL CONVEYORS. The unit has a narrow spectral sensitivity (3 to 5 um) making it impervious to visible light. The detector can reliably and rapidly detect weak Infra-Red radiation emissions from embers resulting from smouldering fragments of wood or coal. The sensitivity of the IH-153E, being designed and constructed specifically for the detection of glowing embers, is far superior to more "conventional" flame detectors. With Instrument air air purging at 3 to 7 bar used to keep the detector "eye" clean in polluted environments.

The IH-153E will detect 100 sq cms glowing ember at a distance of 1 to 3 metres in a 90 degree cone angle and straight line.

Connection of the IH-153E to any standard Fire Alarm Control Panel, annunciator, PLC, DCS is by way of the potential free NO/NC contacts provided. Operating Status indication of the detector is by LED's (flickering green = normal condition, static red = alarm).
